Meet The Author

Ann Danner

Author, Certified Professional Dog Trainer

aka: George's biographer, student, teacher, and Mom

Ann Danner was a Naval Officer, career federal employee, entrepreneur, closet comedienne and dog trainer before deciding to put her creativity on paper. After earning several degrees and certificates and retiring from civil service, she discovered her passion for training and the “A-Ha!” moments people have when she shows them the logic of and the “human” in their dogs..

Ann has parented several dogs, learning something special from each of them. She is a certified dog trainer who uses positive reinforcement methods to train pet dogs, service dogs, and their human parents and is the founder and owner of Dogmatics, LLC a dog training company dedicated to using empathy, dog-sense and comics to teach and inspire people to be effective, considerate, curious and connected dog-parents.

Clever, funny, insightful compassion

I adore this book! At first look its comic strip illustrations are so charming, fun and inviting, an easy read; then you realize there is much more to it. .. What a fun book!

I am a new dog owner and I found this book to be extremely enjoyable AND informative... I found myself relating to George (and his humans) and feeling a lot less guilty for spoiling my own little darling! ...! I love that the author sprinkles training tips and PSAs throughout the book so while you are laughing and falling in love with George, you are getting some really good information. ...Definitely worth the buy…a great addition to my library!
